Gabor Gombos

Gabor Gombos
has been involved in the (ex-)user/survivor movement since 1993. Since 1997 he has been part of the board of the European Network of (ex-)Users and Survivors of Psychiatry, where he served as chair between 1999 and 2004. Gabor has extensive experience in user/survivor controlled human rights advocacy, ranging from local grassroots activities to the United Nations system. Currently, he is the Advocacy Coordinator at the Budapest-based Mental Disability Advocacy Center.

Chris Blunkell
A freelance writer, editor and marketing communications specialist, with a degree in Literature & Philosophy. In recent years he has worked with the UK government Cabinet Office, voluntary sector organisations and a range of design agencies.

Paul Cutler

Paul Cutler
Co-founder of Interaction, and formerly Deputy Director of the UK NGO Hamlet Trust. He manages the Pathways to Policy programme that works with mental health groups in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, India and Central Asia to develop policy initiatives and reform mental health systems. He is a qualified social worker with 17 years experience in mental health, has a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and a Masters Degree in International Development Management. He also has experience of mental health development in East Africa and India. He has published a number of articles in academic journals in the field of policy as well as the book Mental Health and International Development: A public Action Approach (in press) (with Robert Hayward).

Simon Dixon

An experienced finance professional in the Acute Sector of the NHS. A qualified accountant, with an MBA, he is currently the Head of Financial Planning at King's College Hospital NHS Trust, London. His responsibilities have included the management of NHS Trust Charitable funds and NHS Research funds.

Robert Hayward

Robert Hayward
A psychologist who has been working as an NGO development consultant for over 15 years. He has extensive experience in training and supporting mental health NGOs in Central & Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and NIS, parts of Central Asia and China. He has managed EU funded projects and has been a consultant to the WHO and the OSI Mental Health Initiative, Budapest. Amongst his publications are: (with Peter Barham) Relocating Madness (1995), Gaining Ground - The Role of Mental Health NGOs in Central and Eastern Europe (2001) and Building for the Future (2002) (with Paul Cutler).
